Taiwan Film Festival in New Delhi to Showcase First Taiwan–India Co production Film
The 2025 Taiwan Film Festival in New Delhi, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan, and TECC India, will take place on 12–13 December 2025 at PVR Priya Cinema (Vasant Vihar).
The festival presents three selected Taiwanese films reflecting the diversity of Taiwan’s contemporary cinema and cultural landscape.
The programme includes the world premiere of Demon Hunters, the first Taiwan–India co-production feature film, which brings together cultural elements from both countries and features classic Bollywood dance sequences, marking an important milestone in bilateral film collaboration.
Also featured is the documentary A Chip Odyssey, which depicts the story of the world’s leading semiconductor company and Taiwan’s critical role in the global technology industry. The film provides audiences with insight into Taiwan’s technological development and its impact on the global supply chain.
In addition, Hunter Brothers, an Indigenous-themed drama, portrays the emotional and social tensions between tradition and modernity within Taiwan’s Indigenous communities.
As New Delhi continues to evolve into a hub for international and independent cinema, the festival provides a dedicated platform for Taiwanese films to reach Indian audiences. Through cinematic storytelling, it aims to deepen cultural understanding and further strengthen Taiwan–India cultural exchange.
The two-day programme will include an opening ceremony, film screenings and post-screening discussions with invited filmmakers and guests from Taiwan and India, creating opportunities for dialogue and future collaboration between cultural and film institutions of both countries.
