A handover ceremony of medical equipment from Taiwan to the Nevis Island Administration was held on Feb. 12 at the Alexandra Hospital in Nevis.
Ambassador Tom Lee hosted the ceremony and said he was glad to officially handed over a container of medical equipment, including a portable ultrasound device and X-ray machines, donated under the GMISS (Global Medical Instruments Support & Services) program of Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare.
Hon. Hazel Brandy-Williams, NIA’s Junior Minister of Health, expressed the appreciation for the Embassy’s efforts in facilitating the donation and said she believed the people of Nevis would benefit from the new addition of facilities to the Alexandra Hospital.
