The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that in response to the global pandemic of COVID-19, the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) will launch its Fall-Winter COVID-19 Prevention Program, starting from December 1, 2020, to February 28, 2021. Travelers departing for Taiwan during this period, whether for entry or transit and regardless of nationalities and purposes of travel, are required to provide a negative COVID-19 RT-PCT test result issued within three working days before boarding the flight or will be subject to a fine.
Travelers can be exempted from such a test result under 3 circumstances: emergency situations, arriving from a country where self-paid COVID-19 tests are not available, and programs managed by relevant ministries and agencies and approved by the CECC.
