The Taiwan ICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Programme and 2021 MOFA Taiwan Scholarship are now open for application. Those who are from St. Kitts and Nevis and interested in seeking a bachelor, master or doctoral degree in Taiwan are encouraged to apply through the Ministry of Education of St. Kitts and Nevis.

• The Taiwan ICDF International Higher Education Scholarship

Under this programme, applicants will choose a programme to apply for among the 30 available ones listed here https://www.icdf.org.tw/public/Attachment/0123110545186.pdf. All courses will be conducted in English. Qualified recipients should be over 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or above. Applicants are required to complete applying procedures with the Ministry of Education of St. Kitts and Nevis before March 15^th, 2021, so their application will be further reviewed and forwarded to Taiwan.

Applicants should submit the documents listed below to the Ministry of Education.

1. A completed application form (completed online: http://web.icdf.org.tw/ICDF_TSP/WelcomeStart.aspx, printed out and signed; the online application system will be closed on March 14^th, 2021)

2. A photocopy of applicant’s passport or other documents showing proof of nationality.

3. A photocopy of applicant’s highest-level diploma and academic transcripts.

4. Two letters of reference.

5. Any other documents specifically requested by the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy.

Applicants should also visit the website of the individual programme they are applying for, complete all enrollment application documents (print out and sign) and mail to the chosen university in Taiwan. The applicants’ enrollment application should be received by the chosen university before the deadline set by that university. Each applicant can only apply for ONE programme at a time.

Incomplete documents and belated applications will not be accepted or processed. Admission decision will be made by a joint committee in Taiwan.

• The MOFA Taiwan scholarship

Under this programme, learning Mandarin in Taiwan during the first year is mandatory before the beginning of a degree programme. Courses will be conducted in Mandarin (except for a few English programmes). Qualified recipients should be over 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or above.

Applicants must complete applying procedures at the Ministry of Education before March 31^st, 2021, so their application will be further reviewed and forwarded to Taiwan.

Applicants should submit the following documents to the Ministry of Education:

(1)A completed application form.

(2)A photocopy of their passport or other documents proving their nationality.

(3)A photocopy of the highest-level diploma or certificate of equivalent educational level and a complete grade transcript.

(4)Two letters of reference.

(5)Other documents requested by the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

Incomplete documents and belated applications will not be processed. Scholarship-granting approvals will be made by a joint committee in Taiwan.
