Ambassador Lin was honoured to attend the State Service in Celebration of the 38th Anniversary of Independence of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis on Sep. 19.
Nearly four decades ago, founders of the nation strived for and realised the country's glorious independence, and paved the way to freedom, democracy and self-determination. Today many Kittitians and Nevisians still vigorously continue their work and contribute to the country’s development in every aspect. We congratulate our brothers and sisters here in the Federation for their significant achievements.
The theme of this year’s independence celebrations “Adapt, Diversify and Recreate” reflects our ongoing common battle against the pandemic in order to safeguard people’s health, life and livelihood. We are pleased that Taiwan has been a reliable partner of St. Kitts & Nevis in its endeavours to adapt to the new normalcy, to diversify its economy and to recreate prosperity and wellbeing for its people. This precious partnership dates back to even before the official independence of the Federation, and we are confident that it will continue to thrive in the years to come.
