The 2023 MOFA Taiwan Scholarship and Taiwan ICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Programs are now open for application. Those Kittitian & Nevisian students who are interested in seeking a bachelor, master or doctoral degree in Taiwan are encouraged to apply through the Ministry of Education of St. Kitts and Nevis.
The MOFA Taiwan Scholarship
The MOFA Taiwan Scholarship duration includes: a. Pre-degree Mandarin Language Enrichment Program (LEP): one year maximum. b. Undergraduate program: four years maximum; Master program: two years maximum; Doctoral program: four years maximum. Total duration for any combination of programs under this scholarship is five years maximum.
Applicants must complete application procedures at the Ministry of Education before March 31st, 2023, so their application will be further reviewed and forwarded to Taiwan.
Applicants should submit the documents listed below:

A completed application form. (Download at https://taiwanscholarship.moe.gov.tw/web/pages.aspx?p=7)

A photocopy of applicant’s passport or other photo IDs that prove nationality.

A photocopy of the highest-level diploma or certificate of equivalent educational level and a complete grade transcript. If issued by a foreign educational institution, these documents must be authenticated by the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan). A complete set of original and authenticated documents and an additional copy of the documents are required.

Documents to certify that they have applied to an educational institution or its affiliated Mandarin Training Center, such as photocopies of the application fee receipt, the application form and a note of reply or email from the educational institution.

Two letters of reference.

Other documents requested by the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Incomplete documents and belated applications will not be processed. Scholarship-granting approvals will be made by a joint committee in Taiwan.

The Taiwan ICDF International Higher Education Scholarship
Applicants will choose one of the more than 30 undergraduate and graduate programs provided by ICDF partner universities.
(List of programs can be found at: http://www.icdf.org.tw/wSite/np?ctNode=31561&mp=2#aC ) All courses are conducted in English.
Applicants are required to complete application procedures at the Ministry of Education of St. Kitts and Nevis before March 15th, 2023, so their application will be further reviewed and forwarded to Taiwan.
Applicants should submit the documents listed below:

A completed application form (completed online:https://web.icdf.org.tw/ICDF_TSP/WelcomeStart.aspx , printed out and signed)
(Please note: The online application system will be closed on March 14. 2023. Please complete the application as early as possible.)

A photocopy of applicant’s passport or other photo IDs showing proof of nationality.

A photocopy of applicant’s highest-level diploma and academic transcripts. (Please note: If not issued by a Taiwanese educational institution, these documents must be authenticated by the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan). A complete set of original and authenticated documents and an additional copy of the documents are required.

Two letters of reference.

Any other documents specifically requested by the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy.
Each applicant can only apply for ONE program at a time.
In addition to submitting the above documents to the Embassy, applicants must also apply for enrollment with their chosen ICDF partner university before the deadline set by that university.
Applicants should visit individual Taiwan ICDF Scholarship Partner University website, prepare all enrollment application documents (printed out and signed) and mail to the chosen university in Taiwan. The applicants’ enrollment application should be received by the chosen university before the deadline set by that university.
Incomplete documents and belated applications will not be accepted or processed. Admission decision will be made by a joint committee in Taiwan.
Applicants are also required to study through the Mandarin Course at the TaiwanICDF School Youtube Channel:

and complete the Online Mandarin Test:

Applicant’s qualification during the joint committee review in Taiwan may be affected by whether the Online Mandarin Test has been completed.
