In March 2024, at the invitation of the government of St. Kitts and Nevis, Taiwan Embassy was proud and excited to be part of the LAMAT 24 Mission. Taipei Veterans General Hospital (TVGH), one of the top medical centers in Taiwan, sent 4 medical experts to the Federation, including:
Dr. Tsai-Chu Yeh, Ophthalmologist
Dr. Yi-Hsuan Tang, Pediatrician
Dr. Tse-Yao Wang, ER doctor
Mrs. Ya-Han Chang, Ophthalmology technologist
to join the Mission.
They worked alongside with local and US doctors and nurses to provide quality medical care to the people of St. Kitts and Nevis. They also offered on-site training sessions to share their experiences. Their services were exemplary and warmly welcomed by patients and the government of St. Kitts and Nevis, including Hon. Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew and Hon. Foreign Minister Denzil Douglas.
It was a valuable opportunity for all parties involved, and another example of Taiwan's commitment to contribute to our allies and like-minded countries as a global public health stakeholder.
