The Taiwan Technical Mission visited Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) to explore opportunities for future collaboration in veterinary science and agricultural development.
The participants included Mr. Roy Lo, Leader of the Taiwan Technical Mission; Mr. Shin Tsai, Poultry Sustainability Project Manager; Ms. Louisa Chang, Intern; and Mr. Rohan Edmead, Project Coordinator from the Ministry of Agriculture of St. Kitts and Nevis.
During the visit, they toured RUSVM’s state-of-the-art laboratories and clinical facilities, which are internationally recognized for excellence in animal disease diagnostics, poultry and livestock health, companion animal care, and wildlife conservation. The university also provides outstanding training and internship opportunities for students and professionals.
In addition to the tour, the Taiwan Technical Mission held constructive discussions with RUSVM faculty and staff, identifying several areas for potential cooperation, including disease diagnostics and prevention, livestock development, and capacity building initiatives.
The Taiwan Technical Mission expressed sincere appreciation to Dr. Samson Mukaratirwa, Ms. Jade Dotse, Dr. Stewart Francis, and Ms. Trellor Fraites for their warm hospitality and meaningful exchange.
This visit marks the first step in strengthening Taiwan–St. Kitts and Nevis veterinary collaboration, with both sides committed to advancing animal health and agricultural sustainability in the region.
