Taiwan and the United States Strengthen Partnership in the Eastern Caribbean

On February 27, Ambassador Edward Tao (St. Kitts and Nevis), Ambassador Fiona Fan (St. Vincent and the Grenadines) and Ambassador Nicole Su (Saint Lucia) met with Chargé d’Affaires Karin Sullivan of the United States Embassy in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean in Saint Kitts. The two sides held in-depth discussions on issues of mutual interest, highlighting the importance of Taiwan-U.S. cooperation for regional development and prosperity.
The United States acknowledged Taiwan’s longstanding contributions to economic and social development in the Eastern Caribbean and expressed anticipation for further bilateral cooperation to enhance the well-being and socio-economic progress of our Caribbean allies.
The meeting underscores Taiwan’s close collaboration with like-minded partners, demonstrating continued commitment to regional development and sustainable growth through diplomatic and economic initiatives.
