Embassy Extends Appreciation for National Assembly’s Resolution Supporting Taiwan

On April 30, Ambassador Edward Ling-wen Tao was invited to attend the National Assembly of Saint Kitts and Nevis, where he witnessed the passage of the resolution supporting Taiwan.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Terrance Drew, members of both the government and opposition unanimously adopted a resolution supporting Taiwan’s participation in key international organizations, including the United Nations, World Health Organization, UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, and INTERPOL. The resolution also recognizes Taiwan’s capability and commitment to contributing to global affairs.
Following the session, Ambassador Tao expressed his sincere appreciation to Prime Minister Terrance Drew, Deputy Prime Minister Geoffrey Hanley, Foreign Minister Denzil Douglas, Deputy Speaker Latoya B. Jones, and other distinguished members of the Assembly.
Taiwan deeply appreciates Saint Kitts and Nevis for consistently speaking up in support of Taiwan in the international arena. Taiwan will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with its Caribbean ally to deepen cooperation, advance democratic values, and promote sustainable development.
