Following the successful completion of the Women’s Employment, Entrepreneurship and Financial Inclusion (WEEFI) bilateral cooperation project, Ambassador Edward Ling-wen Tao officially handed over project equipment to the Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis on 13 May 2026, marking another important milestone in bilateral cooperation on women’s empowerment and sustainable development.
Implemented jointly by Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) and the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, the four-year initiative shared Taiwan’s successful experience and expertise in vocational education, human resource development, and technical training.
Through the WEEFI Project, vocational training programs across the Federation were strengthened, helping empower women, reinforce community resilience, and expand employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people.
The project also contributed to enhancing economic inclusion and social development by equipping participants with practical and entrepreneurial skills needed in today’s evolving economy.
