To support Taiwan’s net-zero industrial strategies and help overseas compatriot entrepreneurs adapt to global net-zero and sustainability trends, this program offers integrated solutions in sustainable supply chains and the circular economy. It aims to help businesses reduce carbon emissions while enhance profitability and strengthening collaboration across the supply chain.
The Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) cordially invites overseas compatriot entrepreneurs who are currently engaged in or interested in the circular economy sector to return to Taiwan and participate in this training program. Together, we will explore new low-carbon business models and foster opportunities for sustainable growth.
II. Date and agenda:
A. October 27 (Monday), 2025 – October 31 (Friday), 2025. The Program will take place over a 5-day 4-night period.
III. Eligibility for Registration and Workshop Capacity:

A. Participants must be proficient in Chinese communication and currently engaged in manufacturing, processing, or other industries in their country of residence that support the goals of circular economy sustainable supply chain development or be interested in investing and assisting Taiwan’s circular economy-related industries in expanding to international markets.
B. Participants must hold an i-Compatriot Card or agree to apply for one during the event.
C.Priority will be given to applicants who have not participated in OCAC’s economic and trade training workshops or visiting delegations (including invitation and observation tours) in the past two years. Registration is limited to only 1 person from each household or company. Family members and assistants are not permitted to accompany participants in this program.
2.Program Capacity:
The program is limited to 30 participants. If fewer than 10 participants register, the program will not be held.
IV. Registration Date and Procedure:
1. Registration Period: From now until July 25th, 2025, 24:00AM (GMT+8/Taiwan Time). Late applications and waitlist requests will not be accepted.
2. Registration Procedure:
A. This workshop utilizes the “OCAC Overseas Compatriot Affairs Activity Registration System”. Please be sure to complete the registration process on the event webpage prior to the registration deadline. (https://register.ocac.gov.tw) The initial review of applications and recommendations will be conducted by OCAC’s overseas service centers, followed by a final review by OCAC. (If the applicant resides in a country or region without an OCAC overseas service center, OCAC will review the application directly.) The Results will be announced via email in mid-to-late August. The final list will also be sent to R.O.C. (Taiwan) embassies, consulates, or Culture Centers for notification.
B. The collection, processing, and use of participants' personal information will be handled in accordance with Article 8 of the Personal Data Protection Act. Please carefully read the information provided and check the consent box to proceed with the registration process.
C. I-Compatriot Card Users: Participants registering using their i-Compatriot Card account will automatically have certain personal details (including Chinese and English names, date of birth, gender, email address, i-Compatriot Card number, and information about residence abroad) imported to streamline the registration process. Cardholders not logging in with their i-Compatriot Card account must ensure accurate completion of the i-Compatriot Card number field. Those who have not yet obtained an i-Compatriot Card should check the consent box to apply for one, and the Council will issue the i-Compatriot Card based on the registration information.
D. Applicants must provide a valid and frequently used email address to receive the registration result notification and online check-in instructions.
V. Program fees:
1. Expenses Covered by OCAC:
OCAC will cover participants’ courses, meals (excluding dinner on October 31), group transportation, site visits, insurance, venue rental and accommodation expenses for the 4 nights during the event.
2. Expenses to be covered by participants:
A. Round-trip airfare between location of residence and Taiwan, and expenses of transportation to the registration location and transportation between the event venue and the airport upon conclusion of the workshop.
B.The program provides double-occupancy rooms (two participants per room). Those requesting a single room must pay the price difference. Participants requiring early check-in or extended stay must inform OCAC in advance. Arrangements will be subject to hotel availability, and all additional costs must be covered by the participant.
C.During the workshop, accommodation will be arranged on a double occupancy basis (2 persons per room). Requests for early check-in, late check-out, or individual room bookings with additional costs should be submitted in advance. Such requests will be subject to hotel availability, and any associated expenses will be the responsibility of attendees
D. OCAC will provide NT$2 million travel insurance or accident coverage, along with an additional 10% accident medical insurance during the event. If participants consider this coverage insufficient, they may arrange for additional insurance at their own expense. If medical treatment is required while in Taiwan outside the workshop duration, participants are responsible for all medical expenses.
VI. Certificate of Completion:
Participants who do not take leave (including absences) for more than one-fifth of the total course hours and have received prior approval from OCAC for any leave requests will be issued a Certificate of Completion at the end of the program.
VII. Important Notices :
1. Accepted applicants must confirm their attendance with the designated event organizer according to OCAC’s instructions to officially secure their spot.
2.The workshop schedule is intensive. Participants are advised to assess their health and physical condition to ensure they can handle the demands of the activities without compromising their learning experience. To avoid wasting training resources, full participation throughout the workshop is required. Participants must not leave the workshop without prior approval from OCAC, unless granted special permission. Those who cannot participate for the entire duration should refrain from registering.
3. Only purchase airline tickets after receiving confirmation of acceptance. If participants exhibit symptoms of suspected notifiable diseases before check-in or during the event, please inform the Council or the host organization and refrain from attending to safeguard the health of fellow participants.
