Such a great fun to take part in the Ceremony for the Backyard Garden Campaign —an initiative that brings agricultural education into schools and communities, encouraging students to experience planting, nurturing, and harvesting while learning about food security, sustainability and resilience.
Over the past six months, 臺灣駐聖露西亞技術團 Taiwan Technical Mission in St. Lucia, together with the Ministry of Commerce, visited 7 primary schools to carry out food and agricultural education activities. It was rewarding for us to see the students’ enthusiastic participation, creativity, and pride in their backyard gardens.
Our sincere thanks go to the Ministry of Commerce, Saint Lucia Ministry of Equity, Social Justice and Empowerment, Saint Lucia Ministry of Education, Sustainable Development, Innovation, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Climate Change for their strong partnership and dedication in making this meaningful campaign possible.
We also commend all participating schools and students. Every seed planted represents a step toward a healthier, greener, and more sustainable Saint Lucia.
Congratulations to the winning schools:
