Taipei Mission in the Republic of Latvia informs that today, on October 17th, a representative of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) Mr. Chien-hui Lee arrives in Riga.
Mr. Lee will stay in Riga for 10 days within a project Taiwan's “Trade Pioneer” - the main goal of the project is looking for new emerging markets and investment opportunities, to do research of local markets, to look for possible new trade partners (not only to sell, but also to buy) etc. One of the opportunities may be establishment of a distribution center of Taiwan's products or a Taiwan's business contact point in Riga.
Mr. Lee soon will take the director's office at Taiwan External Trade Development Council's representative office in Warsaw which is the closest Taiwan's trade office to Latvia. TAITRA's office in Warsaw covers also the Baltic states region. The visit of Mr. Lee to Latvia proves not only Taiwanese entrepreneurs serious intention to promote trade relations with Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, but also their interest to invest in this region.
Taipei Mission in the Republic Latvia appeals entrepreneurs from Latvia who are interested in doing and developing business with Taiwan to recognize this opportunity and contact the Taipei Mission's office for further information regarding possible meeting with the Trade Pioneer.
