Amb. and Mrs. Hsiao represented a Taiwanese NGO to donate 562 rolls of fabrics to the Government of Marshall Islands on May 20th. Chief Secretary Kino Kabua and Secretary of Health Ministry Jack Niedenthal were the recipients on behalf of the RMI government.
In his remarks, Amb. Hsiao said that the Taiwanese NGO, which donated the fabrics, requested to remain anonymous, and emphasized that Taiwanese NGOs are willing to participate in international cooperation and able to provide helps. The Embassy of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) will continue to work as bridge to enhance mutual exchanges between Taiwanese NGOs and various sectors in the RMI in the field such as gender equality, culture, climate change and so on. In the end of the remarks, Amb. Hsiao took the opportunity to express gratitude to the RMI government for its strong support for Taiwan’s participation in the World Health Assembly.
