The 2012 Taiwan Study Camp for Future Leaders from Pacific Allies

“The 2012 Taiwan Study Camp for Future Leaders from Pacific Allies” will be held in Taiwan, the Republic of China from July 9 to July 18, 2012. A Marshallese Delegation, jointly selected by the RMI Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), will be departing for ROC on July 7 and is scheduled to return to Majuro on July 20, 2012.
The Marshallese Delegation is composed of 5 young and potential leaders: Ms. Denise deBrum from the Office of the President, Ms. Kathy Jetnil-Kijiner of CMI, Mr. Carl Roki from the Epidemic Prevention Initiative, Mr. Boris Anni of Air Marshall Islands, and Mr. Isaac Marty of the Marshall Islands Journal.
During their stay in ROC (Taiwan), the Marshallese Delegation will be joining delegations from Kiribati, Nauru, Palau, Soloman Islands, and Tuvalu while receiving briefings and attending workshops regarding introductions to the developments of ROC (Taiwan). The delegation will also visit government agencies, non-profit organizations and major infrastructure projects in Taiwan and exchange views and experiences with the Taiwanese youth leaders. The delegation will have opportunities to visit other parts of Taiwan aside from Taipei, the capital city of ROC, such as Tainan and Taichung.
