Ambassador Hsia and Mrs. Hsia Attend the "Utrok Kamolo Day 2023" Celebration

Ambassador Hsia and Mrs. Hsia, along with Senator Hiroshi Yamamura of the Republic of Marshall Islands, as well as the Mayor of Utrok Atoll, Tobin Kaiko, went to Utrok Atoll to attend the "Utrok Kamolo Day 2023" celebration.

During the ceremony, Senator Yamamura introduced Ambassador Hsia and his wife to the residents, and expressed gratitude for Taiwan's long-term assistance. Ambassador Hsia also gave a speech, explaining the seamless cooperation between Taiwan and the Marshall Islands over the past 25 years, and the various collaborative projects, including solar-powered street lights on Utrok Island, which have provided concrete assistance for the development of remote islands. Ambassador Hsia also agreed to launch more projects for the benefit of the people in the future.

During the stay on Utrok Atoll, with residents performing traditional songs and dances, Ambassador Hsia joyfully interacted warmly with the residents, and distributed candies to local children, joining in the celebration with the people.
