The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is pleased to announce that starting from 2024, the MOFA Taiwan Scholarship will now cover public health-related English programs. This expansion of the scholarship program comes in response to the cessation of enrollment of the School of Medicine for International Students at I-Shou University, which was previously covered by the TaiwanICDF Scholarship.
This expansion aims to provide opportunities for talented students from the Republic of the Marshall Islands to pursue higher education in public health in Taiwan. Marshallese students possessing a high school diploma or higher qualification are encouraged to apply for the MOFA Taiwan Scholarship to enroll in public health programs at universities.
Each recipient of the MOFA Taiwan Scholarship will receive a monthly stipend of NT$33,000 (approximately US$1,065) during their studies, which is available for bachelor's degrees (4 years), master's degrees (2 years), and doctoral degrees (4 years).
Please note that the one-year Mandarin training is not available for this program. The application deadline for the MOFA Taiwan Scholarship Public Health Program is April 21, 2024.
For comprehensive information regarding application procedures, eligibility criteria, and program details, kindly refer to the attached Guidelines for the MOFA Taiwan Scholarship Program, along with the Application Form and the list of Public Health Related English Programs.
