H.E. President Christopher and First Lady visited Laura Farm

H.E. President Christopher Loeak, First Lady and their family members visited the Taiwan Technical Mission (Laura Farm) of the ROC Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) on the afternoon of 12 April 2014.
During their visit, H.E. President Loeak and First Lady, along with their family members were hosted a lunch at the Taiwan Technical Mission office, briefed the current and future focuses of cooperation on agriculture development with the RMI and toured the Laura Farm accompanied by ROC (Taiwan) Ambassador Winston W.Y. Chen, Mission Leader Andy Chiang along with Embassy and Mission staff.
H.E. President Loeak highly praised Taiwan Technical Mission’s new livestock initiatives of providing at least one pair of male and female piglets to every household in every outer island while at the same time promoting traditional food crops so that the RMI Government’s “food security” policy goal is more likely to be achieved through cooperation between ROC (Taiwan) and the RMI.
