From 11–12 November 2025, Shuang-Ho Hospital and the Ministry of Health and Human Services of the Republic of the Marshall Islands co-hosted the annual Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) Conference in Majuro. This year’s theme — “Youth in All Policies on NCDs and Mental Health” — highlights the shared commitment of Taiwan and the Marshall Islands to tackling NCDs through youth empowerment, prevention, and cross-sector action.
On 12 November 2025, Taiwan and the Marshall Islands also held a launch ceremony marking the nation’s first-ever laparoscopic surgery, a historic milestone that ushers in a new era of minimally invasive surgical care for the Marshallese people.
Taiwan and the Marshall Islands continue to strengthen close partnership in public health. Together, we are moving forward hand in hand to enhance the nation’s medical services and advance universal health in the Marshall Islands to the next milestone!
