On December 8, Ambassador Herbert Hsu and TTM Leader Mr. Lu joined the Vice Chairman of Council of Iroij Farrend Zackios, Minister of Education Gerald Zackios, Minister in Assistance to the President Bremity Lakjohn, Minister of Health Ota Kisino and Wotje Mayor Rithen Lajar at the “Official Dedication of Northern Islands High School (NIHS) Renovated Multi-purpose Cafeteria & Kitchen Facilities and Donated Kitchen Equipment”.
When NIHS renovated the kitchen, Taiwan contributed commercial oven, mixer blender, braising pan and also comprehensive training from Taiwan Technical Mission. With the TaiwanICDF-provided key equipment, NIHS can now prepare a wider variety of nutritious meals—one oven can bake 144 pumpkin rolls at once! The TTM’s trainings further strengthen vegetable use and healthy menu development.
Ambassador Herbert Hsu emphasized that NIHS’s commitment to student well-being reflects the strong friendship between Taiwan and the Marshall Islands. This new Central Kitchen will undoubtedly help students grow, learn, and thrive.
