The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) held a New Year’s Day flag-raising ceremony in the morning of January 1, 2026. The event was attended by approximately 50 participants including members of the Taiwanese community in the RMI, staff of the Embassy, members of the Taiwan Technical Mission and the Taiwan Health Center, who gathered to welcome the New Year together.
In his remarks, Ambassador Herbert Hsu reflected on the achievements of 2025, noting that Taiwan continues to demonstrate further consolidation in its democracy, economic development as well as social resilience. He further highlighted the deepening of bilateral cooperation between Taiwan and the RMI, and expressed sincere appreciation to the Taiwanese community in the RMI for their long-standing contributions to local society, which have further enhanced Taiwan’s international profile. Ambassador Hsu also conveyed his hope that the partnership between Taiwan and the RMI would continue to flourish in the years ahead.
