Taiwanese Students Clinched 3 Golds, 5 Silvers At 2024 Asian Physics Olympiad.

8 students representing team Chinese Taipei made the nation proud by clinching 3 Gold and 5 Silver awards at the 2024 Asian Physics Olympiad hosted by Malaysia, ranking the fifth among 27 participating teams. Deputy Representative Mr. James Buu, TECO in Malaysia, presented a congratulatory message from the Minister of Education Cheng Ying-Yao to the delegation, to cheer for their great achievements.
The team was trained by a coaching team composed of more than 10 professors from local universities in Taiwan. After a four-stage selection, 8 students were selected from a total of 2,137 students from 157 schools across the country to participate in the competition, led by Professor Chuan-Ren Chen of National Taiwan Normal University, retired Professor Shang-Fang Tsai of National Taiwan University, Professor Chu, Chon-saar of National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University and Associate Professor Fang-Yuh Lo of National Taiwan Normal University.
The 2024 Asian Physics Olympiad was held from 3 to 9 June 2024 in Kampar, Perak, Malaysia. It drew the participation of a total of 208 students.
