On April 21, Dr. Lien Yu-Ping, Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural office in Malaysia visited ASE in Penang. where she engaged in in-depth discussions with Penang state authorities and members of ASE’s board of directors .
During the meeting, H.E. Dr. Lien Yu-Ping highlighted that the long-standing partnership between Malaysia and Taiwan continues to translate into tangible, high-value outcomes. From semiconductors to smart manufacturing, both sides are leveraging complementary strengths and moving forward together .
Dr. Lien also emphasized that Taiwan’s strong capabilities in advanced packaging and engineering will, through talent exchange and technical collaboration, further enhance Malaysia’s position—especially Penang’s role in the global semiconductor supply chain.
Beyond this, emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence and robotics are opening up even more possibilities for Malaysia–Taiwan cooperation.
Looking ahead, the TECO Office in Malaysia will continue to serve as a bridge—promoting investment, talent mobility, and innovation exchange to build a more resilient and competitive partnership for the future.
