Representative Lien Yu-Ping attended the opening ceremony of 2026 Taiwan Higher Education Fair Johor Bahru. 31 Taiwanese Universities and 13 Taiwanese and Malaysian enterprises participated in the Fair this year.
In her remarks at the Launching Ceremony on July 7, 2026, Representative Lien highlighted that according to the 2025 IMD World Talent Ranking Report, Taiwan maintains its 3rd place position in Asia, an achievement that serves as a testament to the continued international recognition of Taiwan's talent cultivation efforts and overall competitiveness. Meanwhile, the bilateral trade between Taiwan and Malaysia elevated Taiwan to Malaysia's 4th largest trading partner, 7th largest source of foreign direct investment, and the 2nd largest foreign-investment source for job creation. Therefore, the event will not only reinforce the branding of "Study in Taiwan" but also solidify the talent partnership between Taiwan and Malaysia, as well as enhance bilateral economic and trade cooperation continuously.
The upcoming 2026 Taiwan Higher Education Fair Penang will be held on Klang, Kuala Lumpur, Seremban, Penang, Sibu and Kota Kinabalu from July 9 to July 21.
