On September 5, Representative Lien attended the opening ceremony of the Taiwan Pavilion at MATTA Fair, Malaysia’s largest travel fair. Together with Mr. Cheng Chih-Hung, Director of the International Affairs Division of the Taiwan Tourism Administration, Mr. Chou Shih-Pi, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Administration Kuala Lumpur Office, and representatives of Malaysia’s two major tourism associations—MATTA Vice President Mr. Hizzat and MCTA President Mr. Patrick—the Representative warmly invited Malaysian friends to visit Taiwan and discover its rich and diverse tourism experiences!
The event attracted significant media attention, with a particular focus on Taiwan’s achievements and future development in Muslim-friendly tourism. From Muslim-friendly facilities and tourism services to diverse cultural experiences, Taiwan continues to enhance its tourism environment and build a more internationally welcoming destination, allowing travelers from around the world to explore Taiwan with comfort and peace of mind.
Representative Lien also visited the Taiwan Pavilion to interact with participating tourism businesses and experience the exciting activities on site, offering her encouragement and support to Taiwan’s tourism industry. One of the highlights was the Representative personally assembling a model of the Danjiang Bridge！
For this year’s MATTA Fair, the Taiwan Tourism Administration brought together a 76-member promotional delegation representing 44 organizations, including local governments, tourism associations, travel agencies, hotels, leisure farms, theme parks, and souvenir businesses. Together, they showcased Taiwan’s diverse tourism offerings and invited Malaysian travelers to experience Taiwan’s beautiful mountains, breathtaking landscapes, and endless possibilities for fun and adventure!
