The Chinese Taipei School Kuala Lumpur donates 220 sets of desks and chairs to SJK (C) Pui Ying, Klang to aid the school’s flood recovery efforts. The donation ceremony was attended by Mr. Tu Shu Yao, Chairman of Chinese Taipei School Kuala Lumpur, Mr. Wei Tsao Tseng, the Executive Director, Principal Cheng Ya Fen, Ms. Charlin Chang, Director of Education Division of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Malaysia and Ms. Choo Lay Yoong, Principal of SJK (C) Pui Ying on 14 January, 2022.
SJK (C) Pui Ying which was established in 1932 and has a well-established reputation in the local community and society, was severely affected by the flood last month. People from all walks of life have given their helping hands to assist the school in recovery work after the disaster.
The Chinese Taipei School Kuala Lumpur was founded and has been operating in Malaysia for over 30 years, with a comprehensive educational system that covers kindergarten, primary school, junior high school to high school. Apart from emphasizing the importance of learning Mandarin, teaching multiple languages, the Chinese Taipei School Kuala Lumpur also strives to nurture humanistic qualities in students. By donating the desks and chairs, the Chinese Taipei School Kuala Lumpur hopes that the students of SJK (C) Pui Ying can resume classes as soon as possible. This donation is one of the efforts of Chinese Taipei School Kuala Lumpur to support local Chinese education and reflects the unity and strength of Chinese education in Malaysia.
