It’s close in proximity, has frequent flights, safe environment, lovely scenery, amazing food, and visa-free; 420,000 visitors came from the Philippines to Taiwan last year and enjoyed Taiwanese lifestyle. Those who like to return or experience Taiwan for the first time are invited to the Travel Madness Expo (TME) at the SMX Convention Center in Manila, Philippines between July 4th (afternoon) to July 7, to experience Taiwan’s hospitality and warmth at the Taiwan Pavilion (Booth 57-64).
For three and half days during the TME, at the Taiwan Pavilion visitors will be provided with the latest and most valuable tourism information on Taiwan, along with DIY events representative of small towns throughout the island, including absorbent ceramic coaster painting from Yingge (North), adorable wooden puzzle pig from Lukang Changhua (Central), and creative blessing drum charm from Ten Drum Tainan (South). Also, in collaboration with the Formosa Summer Festival happening in Taiwan right now, the Taiwan Leisure Farms Development Association will be making a limited quantity of Aiyu jelly drink on-site for free tasting. Visitors to the Taiwan Pavilion will get to hand-make their own Taiwanese items, as well as getting a taste of Taiwan.
So as to encourage Filipino travellers to tour Taiwan, a small, limited-edition gift will be given by completing a travel questionnaire online. Anyone who purchases a Taiwan travel itinerary or an independent tour package at the exhibition will receive either an “USB handheld fan” or a “double layer insulated lunch box” at the Taiwan Tourism Bureau counter. Quantities are limited, first come first served. Great value deals, a wealth of events, exciting performances and unforgettable experiences are all at the TME Taiwan Pavilion. Please visit taiwan.net.tw for the latest Taiwan tour and travel information.
In addition to the array of events, Taiwan’s “Ten Drum Art Percussion Group” will be performing live daily at the main stage. Audiences can experience the deep and diverse vitality of Taiwan through their innovative and exuberant drum art.
In order to further the cooperation between Taiwan/Philippines travel operators, the Taiwanese delegation has scheduled a B2B Workshop for July 8 at the Pan Pacific Manila, and another for July 10 at the Seda Ayala Center Cebu, so as to provide the latest travel information to Filipino counterparts to package their travel products. The intents of these sessions are to build up bilateral connections through the participation of Philippines’ travel industry and its media, to generate more cooperation opportunities, and to attract an even greater number of Filipino public to tour Taiwan.
