The Department of Health of the Philippines recently recommended that Philipinos check the immunization requirements of the country they are going to visit, and if required, receive a dose of Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV) before departure and get their International Certificate of Vaccination from the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) to serve as proof of their vaccination.
The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines has received lots of email enquiries from Philipinos about if a certificate of vaccination for polio is needed when they enter Taiwan.
According to Taiwan Centers for Disease Control, tentatively, no polio vaccination certificate is needed for travelers coming to Taiwan.
