In response to the continuous impact of COVID-19 outbreak, 2020 Smart City Summit and Expo will be converted into an O2O event with concerns for the health and safety of the exhibitors and participants, as well as the overall benefits of exhibition, and in accordance with the announcement of the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) on March 25th: “All indoor activities which expect more than 100 participants are suggested to be cancelled.”
The organizer and co-organizers of SCSE, namely the Taipei City Government, Taoyuan City Government and Taipei Computer Association together conducted a survey amid 336 exhibitors of 2020 SCSE through April 8th to 16th. Then after a discussion within Taiwan Smart City Solutions Alliance, the decision has been made: The 2020 SCSE is going online. This digital platform will be launched on the original event date: July 1st, 2020.
The O2O edition of “SCSE 2020” will showcase smart technology solutions, professional forums, Mayors’ Summit, business matchmaking and other special events. This special online edition features the 6 year professional brand image of SCSE and the high-quality database of domestic and international city leaders and buyers, which will continue to be served for our exhibitors. This campaign will further promote 2021 SCSE and extend its benefits while leveraging more domestic and international resources and business opportunities. Moreover, the organizer—TCA (Taipei Computer Association) provides offers for overseas participants, which is on a first-come first-served basis. However, if you do not wish to get the offers, it is perfectly fine as well. Here’s the information on the incentives and offers, for your reference.
- For Industrial Representative (Business)
TCA has offers for the foreign participants. As long as the representative does his/her online registration before May 15, 2020, he/she will be granted with free accommodation for 3 nights (check-in July 1, check-out July 4) and a free real site demo tour on July 4.
If it’s a delegation of 10 or more delegates (including the chef delegate). As long as all the 10 delegates have done their online registration before May 15, 2020, all of them will be granted with free accommodation for 3 nights, a free real site demo tour on July 4, and additionally, the chief delegate will be offered return economy flight tickets.

- For Telecom Speaker (Business)
TCA has offers for telecom participant (subject to telecom VP or leader/head of smart city related department) who is willing to be a speaker to share his/her experience in the Telecom Event in SCSE 2020. As long as the telecom representative does his/her online registration before May 15, 2020, he/she will be granted with free accommodation for 3 nights (check-in July 1, check-out July 4), a free real site demo tour on July 4, and also return economy flight tickets.

- For Mayor or Vice Mayor (Official)
TCA also has offers for official delegates, but it has to be (led by) the Mayor or Vice Mayor. (One person will do as well.) As long as all the delegates have done their online registration before May 15, 2020, all of them will be granted with free accommodation for 4 nights, and additionally, the chief delegate (Mayor or Vice Mayor) will be offered return premium economy flight tickets. (If the Mayor or Vice Mayor would like to share his/her experience in Smart City development, which most of the Mayors or VMs will do, TCA will arrange speech time slot for him/her.) If the Mayor or Vice Mayor can’t participate, instead it’s the leader/head of smart city project who participate, he/she will be granted with free accommodation for 4 nights.
