New Initiative for Hong Kong and Macau SAR Passport Holder’s ROC Entry Permit Application

Starting from 28 March 2017, Taiwan National Immigration Agency (hereinafter referred to as NIA)will launch an initiative which requires Hong Kong and Macau SAR passport holders wishing to visit Taiwan for short term stay to apply for their entry permit via Electronic Application System (EPS). In line with NIA’s new initiative, the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore (hereinafter to referred to as TROS) will no longer accept HK and Macau SAR passport holders (including through a travel agency) to apply for single ROC entry permit in person or through a travel agent via paper applications on 28 March 2017. However, the applicant is still required to submit a paper application through TROS if he/she wishes to apply for multiple entry permit. For more detailed information, please visit TROS’s website at:
