On 17 March 2019, Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang presided over the handover between the third and fourth President and inauguration ceremony of the new President of the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women (GFCBW) Singapore. The ceremony saw the attendance of GFCBW leaders, office bearers from the Taipei Business Association in Singapore, and esteemed delegates from fourteen chapters of the GFCBW.
At the ceremony, Representative Francis Liang handed over the Overseas Community Affairs Council’s appreciation letter to the outgoing President and its congratulatory letter to the new President, Mdm. Chen Li-Jiun. In his address, Representative Liang commended the GFCBW for its role in advancing the presence of Chinese business women globally, advocating and supporting the Chinese culture and arts and promoting international exchanges since its founding in 1994. He looked forward to working with incoming President Mdm. Tan in continuing and strengthening exchanges between Singapore and Taiwan in various fields, including economics and trade, culture, education and tourism.
