Representative Lee was invited by Delta Electronics to attend and deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the company's new plant in Liptovsky, a city in the eastern Slovakia, on March 29, 2022. Mgr Branislav Tréger, Mayor of Liptovský Mikuláš, was at present to thank the investment for the contribution to the local development and creation of job opportunities.
This is the second investment for Delta in Slovakia, along with the first in Dubnica nad Váhom, which will focus on producing motors for E-vehicle and charging pods, and the new one will manufacture communication power cabinets in the future.
Delta is an important Taiwanese investment to Slovakia. Since the first investment in 1994, it has been successful in expanding the market, and has implemented the called Industry 4.0 policy to develop automation, robots and electric vehicles. Representative Lee also accompanied Slovak state secretary of Ministry of Economy, Karol Galek, to visit Delta before his visit to Taiwan in May of 2021, and he was deeply impressed by Delta's commitment to developing environmental protection and sustainable policies. Green economy is the main policy of Slovakia and she has a high rate of renewable energy. Delta's investment in Slovakia will help to gain a head start under the trend of carbon reduction, and will also help to enhance the substantial economic and trade relations between Taiwan and Slovakia.
