THE Swaziland International Trade Fair (SITF) 2013 was one of the best trade fairs hosted so far in the past five years.
Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Jabulile Mashwama said this year’s event saw a number of new and good things coming in.
She said each year, the event grew in an amazing way, adding that the ministry responsible would continue to improve as it hosts this occasion.
The minister was speaking during the closing ceremony of the SITF 2013 at Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre yesterday.
“We thank the organising team for the work it has done until this far, we have been receiving positive responses since its official opening by His Majesty King Mswati III.
“Our gratitude also goes to the many sponsors that supported us here without them the event will not be possible. We appeal to our exhibitors to give us feedback on the SITF 2013 so that we know which areas to improve on,” she said.
Mashwama said some local sponsors supported the event both financially and by being exhibitors. She also thanked World Vision for being the SITF 2013 partner over the years, adding that they had provided toys and children’s clothes which would be distributed to two organisations in the country.
Meanwhile, Manzini Regional Administrator Prince Masitsela noted that the SITF improved each year and this was appreciated.
He said the region was grateful to be host of this event and would continue supporting it.
