Holy See Cardinal Peter Turkson traveled thousands miles from Vatican City State, one of Taiwan's diplomatic allies in Europe, to visit Eswatini on 16th February, accompanied by Archbishop Peter B. Wells, the Ambassador of the Holy See to South Africa.
Turkson was Archbishop of Cape Coast from 1992 to 2009 and was appointed as a cardinal by Pope John Paul II in 2003. He has been concerned about the well-being of all mankind and hopes that love, justice and peace will be realized in Africa soon.
During his visit to Eswatini, Cardinal Turkson had a memorial lecture, encouraging all Catholic to respect each other and be peace-loving.
Ambassador Jeremy Liang treated him with Taiwanese cuisine and had a great time during dinner. Cardinal Turkson expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Liang for his hospitality.
