According to the World Health Organization's 2022 data, 249 million people worldwide were infected with malaria, and 608,000 lives were lost to this disease. Regretfully, over 90% of these cases and deaths occurred in Africa, where the lives and health of the people, including Eswatini, are gravely threatened by malaria.
To support Eswatini in its malaria prevention efforts and to achieve the goal of eradicating malaria by 2030, Ambassador Jeremy Liang, on behalf of the Taiwan government, donated 1 million Emalangeni to Eswatini End Malaria Fund on June 27th. With this donation, we work together to help eMaswati live without the fear of malaria, enjoy a brighter and healthier future.
