Healthcare services and essential support reached 328 community members in Mangcongco Inkhundla during a medical outreach programme conducted by the Taiwan Embassy and Taiwan Medical Mission on June 6.
The outreach brought healthcare closer to the people, providing free consultations, treatment, medication, ultrasound examinations, cancer screening, and health education services.
Vulnerable beneficiaries, including bogogo nabomkhulu, also received wheelchairs, walking sticks, and 5kg bags of rice donated by Taiwan.
Residents enjoyed nutritious vegetarian meals prepared through the Taiwan-Africa Vegetable Initiative (TAVI), highlighting the value of traditional vegetables in healthy diets.
Hon. MP Lomalanga Dlamini expressed appreciation for the outreach, noting that it brought much-needed healthcare services directly to the people of Mangcongco.
