Taiwan Visitors Association joined Thai International Travel Fair 2011

On Thursday 24th February 2011, Representative Henry M.J. Chen paid a visit to Thai International Travel Fair 2011 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center and attended the opening ceremony.
The grand opening ceremony begins with cultural shows, including one by Chai Found Music, a Taiwanese troupe aiming to preserve and further the tradition of Taiwanese music. Deputy Prime Minister Trairong Suwan-nakhiri presided over the opening ceremony of Thai International Travel Fair 2011. He pointed out that Thai government fully supported both the inbound and outbound tourism. He said travel was a good way to expand people's views and horizons.
Representative Henry M.J. Chen paid a visit to China Airline, Eva Air, and Taiwan's tourism booths, where he met with Mei-Hua Wang, Deputy Secretary General of Taiwan Visitors Association.
In 2010, 5.04 million visitors set foot in Taiwan, with 57.9% being vacationers. The same year the number of Thai nationals visiting Taiwan has reached 93,000, or grew by 18.6%. TECO in Thailand joins hands with Taiwan Visitor Association to spur the market. (By Kittanu Supasamsen)
