The "9th Taiwan-Thailand Higher Education Forum" was successfully held on August 28, 2024, at the Mandarin Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. Co-organized by the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), and Thailand's Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin, the forum focused on the theme "Transforming Higher Education: Collaborative Innovations for Global Competence."
Dr. Chin-Lung Chang, President of NPUST, led a delegation of 70 presidents and international affairs directors from 23 Taiwanese universities and institutions. They joined Dr. Luksmon Smansin, Director of the International Affairs Division, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science,Research and Innovation (MHESI), along with over 230 representatives from 44 Thai universities. The forum facilitated in-depth discussions on strengthening innovation and cooperation in higher education between Taiwan and Thailand.
The 9th Taiwan-Thailand Higher Education Forum successfully fostered meaningful dialogue and collaboration between the higher education institutions of both nations. The event not only strengthened existing partnerships but also paved the way for innovative initiatives and joint projects that will enhance global competence and competitiveness. Participants left with a deeper understanding of each other's educational landscapes and a commitment to continued cooperation, ensuring sustained growth and advancement in higher education for both Taiwan and Thailand.
