A promotional video on tourism in Taiwan premiered Oct. 28 at Eslite Art House in Taipei City, highlighting the government’s commitment to boosting the nation’s travel industry.
Chou Ting-chang, deputy director general of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications’ Tourism Administration, said that the piece marked an important landmark in advancing Taiwan tourism in the global market while also advocating a traveling style that prioritizes environmental sustainability, personal growth and smart technology through the themes of sharing, engagement, discovery and enjoyment.
Taiwan boasts rich art and cultural resources in such places as the National Palace Museum and the traditional markets like the textile-focused Yongle Market in Taipei’s Datong District. Its festivals are varied and compelling, ranging from the annual Taiwan Lantern Festival to the seasonal Moonlit Sea Concerts in the southeastern county of Taitung.
With convenient transportation options around the country, travelers can easily explore: biking at Wuling in central Taiwan’s Nantou County and riding the Alishan Forest Railway provide tourists with experiences that put them in touch with nature.
The short is a collaboration between award-winning director Andrew S.T. Gregg and Dentsu Taiwan that displays their hallmark creative narrative techniques and stunning visuals. It will be aired on major international news platforms such as CNN and the BBC, as well as on social media services, the TA added.
