Visa Application Procedure for Traveling to Taiwan
Travelers intending to visit Taiwan must follow the steps below to apply for a visa.
(Note: Turkish passport holders planning to stay in Taiwan for less than 30 days may apply for a free eVisa.)
- Fill Out the Online Visa Application Form
Please visit the BOCA visa application system:
https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw
Complete the required information, then download and print the PDF application form.
- Prepare the Required Documents
Please prepare the following documents:
- Original passport (valid for at least six months)
- Printed visa application form
- Two color passport photos (with white background, taken within the past six months)
- Flight ticket or travel itinerary, financial proof, or other supporting documents depending on the visa type
- Pay the Visa Fee
Visa fees must be paid in U.S. dollars (USD) in cash.
The exact amount depends on the visa type and will be confirmed by the consular staff at the time of submission.
Payments must be made only at the following designated bank:

Uğur Mumcu Cad, Gaziosmanpaşa, Kemer Sokağı No:6/5, 06700 Çankaya/Ankara
Please deposit correct amount of the fee into our office’s official bank account for consulate affairs .
Bank transfers are not accepted.
- Submit the Application in Person or via Authorized Representative
Applications by mail are not accepted.
Applicants must submit their documents in person or through a designated representative.
- Processing Time and Visa Collection
Visa processing takes approximately 3 working days.

Important Notes
Regarding Payment
According to Turkish anti-money laundering regulations, individuals without valid Turkish identification are not allowed to make payments to the designated consular bank account.
Non-Turkish nationals are advised to appoint a friend, relative, or visa agent with valid Turkish ID to assist with the payment process.
Holders of PRC (People’s Republic of China) Passports
Applicants holding PRC passports must apply for an Entry Permit through the National Immigration Agency of Taiwan.
Visa applications cannot be accepted at our office.
Holders of Turkish Passports Born in China
If you hold a Turkish passport, were born in China, and are traveling to Taiwan for the first time, you are not eligible for the eVisa system.
You must apply in person at our office and submit the following documents:
- Proof of renunciation of Chinese nationality
- Entry/exit record showing you have been outside of China for more than 4 years
- Proof of property ownership in Turkey
- Proof of residence in Turkey for over 6 months (e.g., mobile phone bill, utility bills, etc.)
