The Embassy of Republic of China (Taiwan) in Tuvalu will help to certify PCRC applicants’ passport copy and necessary document to be used as part of their application. Steps to authenticate applicants’ passport copy and relevant document by the Taiwan Embassy are as follows:
- Applicants must provide the current passport, both original and photocopy ones, notarised by Tuvaluan authorities concerned. If applicants have an ARC or used an older passport while in Taiwan, please notarise those documents as well.
- Submit to the Embassy a completed Application Form for Authentication, the above-mentioned notarized passports and (if any) relevant documents, a valid Power of Attorney. The Embassy will help applicants to authenticate the notarised passport (or ARC copy) and Power of Attorney.
- The assigned individual must present proof of identity when applying/picking up a certificate. An applicant's English name on the certificate MUST be identical to the one shown in the passport.
- Application Fee is AUD 22.00 and the authentication will need 2 working days.
- For those who are not using the Power of Attorney to assign an individual to apply on their behalf in Taiwan, they can also post all the required application form, authenticated passport copy, fee, and return envelope to the Foreign Affairs Division, Taipei City Police Department (Please note that the Taiwan Embassy is not handling the postal or express delivery matters).
