Taiwan Season returned to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for a fifth consecutive year with some of its most memorable live performances to date. Participants in the 2018 Taiwan Season were announced on February 6, including Sun Son Theatre, Our Theatre, Tijmur Dance Theatre, and Chang Dance Theatre.
With the support of the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan Season has introduced the very best of the island’s contemporary musicians, actors, dancers, and puppeteers to the UK festival since 2014, garnering critical praise and five-star reviews from The Guardian, The Times, The List, and other such notable media outlets.
By all accounts, Taiwan Season was a major hit in 2017. ‘038’, Kuo-Shin Chuang’s dynamic all-female dance performance, received a glowing write-up from Guardian dance critic Judith Mackrell. Meanwhile, ‘Together Alone’, featuring real-life couple Chen-Wei Lee and Zoltán Vakulya, also enjoyed incredible box office success, attracting notable audience members such as the French Ambassador Sylvie Bermann.
Taiwan Season is poised to take the 2018 Edinburgh Festival Fringe by storm from the 3rd to the 27th August.
