Role: The Taipei Representative Office in the UK is seeking an Art and Digital Communications Assistant based in London to assist its Cultural Division in implementing and supporting cultural events and arts programmes in the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries.
The role involves assisting in event planning and organization, liaising with artists, curators and venues; researching Taiwanese and British culture affairs; writing news releases; composing and proofreading correspondence; drafting speeches; researching and answering information requests and managing and developing the department’s social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) as well as maintaining its website.
Shortlisted candidates will be invites to take part in a written test and interview.
Salary: From £19,428 (per annum)
Location: Victoria, London
Requirements: Candidates must carry valid visa and work permit of the UK. The successful candidate will have a relevant degree background, e.g. Arts Management, Mass Media & Communications, Taiwan/Asian Studies etc. He or she will also possess excellent writing and interpersonal skills; a keen interest in art, culture and international relations, especially relating to Taiwan; experience in producing digital content (using MS Office, Photoshop, etc), and social media management. Knowledge of Mandarin Chinese would be a distinct advantage.
