2024 applications for scholarship offered by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education now open

Washington, D.C. (Jan. 9, 2024) – Applications are now open for this year’s round of the Ministry of Education’s Taiwan Scholarship Program, offered to outstanding American students who wish to pursue higher education in Taiwan.

Recipients of the scholarship will be awarded NTD 40,000 (approximately $1,250) for tuition and miscellaneous expenses per semester. Undergraduate and postgraduate students will be offered a monthly stipend of NTD 15,000 (approximately $470) or NTD 20,000 (approximately $625), respectively.

Applicants whose official residency is in Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia may send the completed scholarship application form and required documents to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office by March 31, 2024. Applicants from other states should refer to their local TECO office for information on how to apply.
