The Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs has launched the "International SpaceTech Startup Supporting Program" and the "Soft-Landing Program." Through systematic training, industrial resource matchmaking, and localized mentorship, these initiatives aim to assist high-potential startups in establishing a presence in Taiwan and deepening international collaboration.
- International SpaceTech Startup Supporting Program
- Eligibility & Target Sectors: International startups established within the last 10 years, focusing on space tech and next-generation communication technologies.
- Timeline:
- March – May 2026: Application Period
- July – September 2026: Matchmaking & Preparation for travel to Taiwan
- October – November 2026: On-site training and networking activities in Taiwan
- Resources Provided & Obligations:
- Resources: Flight subsidies (up to USD 2,500), industrial matchmaking, soft-landing consultation, corporate visits, and opportunities to participate in major exhibitions.
- Obligations: Participants must travel to Taiwan to attend at least 3 weeks of training courses and cooperate with achievement-sharing sessions and related promotional activities.

- Soft-Landing Program
- Eligibility & Target Sectors: International startups established within the last 8 years (within 10 years for the biomedical sector) that possess a product prototype or innovative technology, and demonstrate a strong intent to expand into Taiwan. The program focuses on technology applications within the Five Trusted Industries (including Semiconductors, Artificial Intelligence, Military/Defense, Security and Surveillance, and Next-Generation Communication).
- Timeline: Arranged dynamically based on the startups' arrival schedules in Taiwan.
- Resources Provided & Obligations:
- Resources: Entrepreneurial mentorship, regulatory consultation, industrial matchmaking, investor networking, and opportunities to participate in exhibitions and exchange events.
- Obligations: Participants must cooperate and engage in training courses, matchmaking exchanges, and related promotional activities.
