Request for Proposal-Workers Compensation Insurance
Statement of Purpose
The Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States (hereafter referred as “TECRO”) is requesting proposals for a period of one year (from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019) from qualified agents, brokers and insurance carriers interested in underwriting, marketing and administering a voluntary TECRO sponsored Workers Compensation Insurance Program on behalf of TECRO and its 8 branch offices. TECRO reserves the right to reject any proposal in its entirety, or any part of a proposal, when deemed to be in the best interest of the TECRO. The final award will be based solely on price.
Submission Deadline
Sealed proposals shall be received by TECRO through mail, commercial carrier or personal delivery not later than 05:00 pm on May 24, 2018. Please address the proposals as follows:

Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.
Request for Proposals (RFP) Calendar
The tentative timetable is as follows:

The RFP is released on May 11, 2018 and its deadline for receipt is May 24, 2018.

Interested proposers can call Mr. Wei-ren Huang at 202-8951840 for a TECRO employee census.

TECRO reserves the right to modify or reject any or all proposals to best serve its interests.

The contract will be awarded on June 30, 2018.

Evaluation Criteria
Each proposal received shall be evaluated solely based on the bidding price. Proposals opened and subjected to the criteria below shall belong exclusively to TECRO. All costs directly or indirectly related to responding to this RFP will be borne by the proposer.

Qualification, experience and license. Please provide business history and past experience with similar foreign embassies or international organizations. The broker/administrator represents and warrants that the broker/administrator holds s license, permit or special license to perform the services pursuant to this program.

Proposed costs. Proposals with broker arrangement shall explain how the commissions are built into the premium rates.

Scope of services. Please describe in detail how you plan to perform the required services, including but not limited to marketing, administration and providing management reports.
