The acclaimed Formosa Quartet joins the former Guarneri Quartet cellist Peter Wiley to give the East Coast premieres of two quartets, Pasibutbut and Taiwanese Folk Songs by Taiwanese-born composer Wei-Chieh Li. They will play Franz Schubert’s symphonic String Quintet in C on Oct. 26, 2019 at the Meyer Auditorium of the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery.
This performance is co-sponsored by the Taiwan Academy of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States (TECRO) and the Freer| Sackler Gallery.

The ensemble, which features violinists Jasmine Lin and Wayne Lee, violist Che-Yen Chen, and cellist Deborah Pae, has performed at Lincoln Center, Wigmore Hall (London), Chamber Music Hall in Berlin, the National Concert Hall in Taipei, and with the Da Camera Society of Los Angeles.
