Medtrade 2018, Atlanta was held at Georgia World Congress Center from October 16 to 17. Five Taiwanese medical equipment companies and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) set up booths at this Home Medical Equipment Expo and Conference.
Director General Vincent Liu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta hosted a welcome dinner for the Taiwanese company delegates on Monday, Oct. 15.
DG Liu led the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Taiwan Pavilion on Oct. 16. Special guests attending the opening ceremony included Mark Chen, Commissioner of the Overseas Community Affairs Council; Kent Davies, President of the Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce; Kerry Brett, International Trade Manager of the Georgia Department of Economic Development; Susan Kintana, Regional Director of Export-Import Bank of the United States; Juliana Golomi, Manager of the Enterprise Innovation Institution at Georgia Tech; and members of Monte Jade Southeastern Science and Technology Association, Atlanta Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce, and Georgia Gainesville Taiwan Chamber of Commerce.
Three-hundred-forty-two companies attended Medtrade 2018, Atlanta. It attracted more than ten thousand professionals and purchasers. Taiwanese companies received 98 orders at the trade show, totaling $360,000. The potential order amount could reach $1.4 million.
