On Friday, July 17 at Sonesta Gwinnett Place, Georgia Asian Times held an awards banquet to honor the 25 most influential Asian Americans in Georgia.

The recipients included people with Taiwanese connections: Mr. Hugh Hu, President of Tech Comm Business Communications; the first Asian Superior Court Judge, Judge Meng Lim, Georgia Superior Court; and Judge Carla Wong McMilliam, Georgia Court of Appeals.
TECO Director General Steven Tai and Deputy Director Cynthia Hung attended the reception. DG Tai presented several of the awards.
Distinguished guests included Roaul Donato, Consul General of the Philippines; Former Georgia Republican Party Chairwoman, Sue Everhart; Douglas Hooker, Director of the Atlanta Regional Commission; and Georgia Asian Times VP, Yom Razak.
